How it works
Open Voice to text. It is on the home screen of the OnKey app.
Start recording. Speak. Recording stops on its own after a pause, and you can tap again to keep going.
Polish or summarize. Edit the transcript, then tap Polish with AI or Summarize if you want.
What you get
On-device transcription
Speech is transcribed on your device. Audio never leaves your phone.
AI only when you ask
Only the transcript text goes to the AI, and only if you tap Polish with AI or Summarize.
Questions
Is my voice sent to a server?
No. If on-device dictation is not installed for your language, the app tells you instead of falling back to a server.
Do I need a permission?
Yes, microphone and speech recognition access, which you can allow in Settings.
